As a Chartered Counselling Psychologist, I'm a member of the British Psychological Society and a full member of the Division of Counselling Psychology of the BPS. My Qualifications and Skills
I trained to doctoral level as a Counselling Psychologist at City University, London, where I was also awarded my MSc in Counselling Psychology. I have also successfully trained, and been licensed to practice as, a BPS Psychometric Test Administrator which authorises me to conduct and interpret psychological tests.
Along the way, I have qualified as a counsellor and have a Diploma in Counselling. I also hold a Diploma in Performance Coaching and am a founder member of the BPS Special Group for Coaching Psychology.
As a psychologist, I’ve worked with adults and adolescents in various NHS services, delivering both long and short-term therapy. I’ve worked in the prison service delivering cognitive behavioural therapy and treatment for post traumatic stress disorder. I’ve also worked in the voluntary sector as a counsellor and trainer delivering brief therapy. I have a successful private practice established in 1997.
During my previous career in education I was a senior school manager, a local government officer charged with developing training services and later enjoyed success as an educational consultant working in school governance and adult education. I’ve developed and delivered bespoke training for several local authorities, charitable services and adult education services.
